Affiliate Marketing is a very smart way to make money online. Without any investment, without any kind of inventory, without any headache...it can not get Better than that :)
But wait! Most of the Affiliate Marketers don't make money at all! Now there is 2 reasons behind this.
- Either they are doing it wrong OR
- They are not doing it at all!
Let me describe what is Affiliate Marketing and how does it work.
Affiliate Marketer works like a voluntary sales force for their Chosen Products or a Chosen Seller. Products can be soft goods...like E books, online training programs, online memberships, other services and so forth OR it can be Physical Books, Electronics items, Clothes, Home & garden items in-fact the list goes on and on.
Sellers of the goods provide links to the Affiliate Marketer unique to each. And also provide other promotional tools like Graphics, Banner Ads, Videos, Email series to promote their products.
Then when a potential buyer click through the link of the Affiliate Marketer and purchase the product he/she (affiliate marketer) gets a pre-determined commission (certain percentage of each sale)!
Most of the Affiliate programs are FREE to join and some requires purchase of the product to become an Affiliate.
To register for Affiliate program most of the sellers ask for a Paypal account to payout commissions, some also offers check payment and direct deposit option.
The most effective way to promote any product as an Affiliate is to use it and get a hands on experience. Then the Review of the product or Endorsement gets more credibility.
There are people who make 6 figures income in Affiliate Commissions and again there are people (vast majority actually) who never made a dime on Affiliate earning!
It's strange and the reason is really simple. People who don't make any money on Affiliate commission simply lack the proper training on how to do it.
